QUINN

Quinn is a purebred Aussie
Quinn is deaf and has the most gorgeous blue eyes.
We rescued Quinn from an IN shelter.
Quinn is approximately 1 1/2 years-old and weighs 47lbs
Quinn is up to date on all his vaccinations and will be neutered soon

Quinn was originally in a kill shelter in IN for several months and then Quinn
was moved to a "no kill" shelter where he spent another few months caged in a shelter

Quinn was showing signs of aggression toward humans at the" no kill" shelter and was being kept
in an area unacessible to shelter visitors due to his aggressive behaviours and was deemed unadoptable
so the shelter was only willing to release Quinn to a qualified rescue experienced in handling Quinns' special needs.

CODA decided to rescue Quinn and see if we couldn't help get him over his issues.

his new foster home in New York

Quinn could not be ground transported due to his aggressive state when he left the shelter.

Although Quinn arrived at his foster home in Lawrence NY acting a bit like "Kujo" his new foster
parents handled him slowly and have gained Quinn's trust and Quinn is settling in nicely in his foster home.

Quinn is living with his foster parents who have a Deaf Aussie named Hoku who is teaching Quinn the ropes.
Hoku even jumped in the shower with Quinn to convince Quinn that a bath was fun!

Quinn is getting along fine with the other dogs in his foster home and is learning sign language
Quinn is housebroken but after being in a shelter so long does not like being crated.
Quinn has been a well behaved boy at his foster home with free run of the house.

Quinn will be available for adoption once he is further re-socialized and neutered.
Quinn's foster mom has finally had success getting Quinn to enjoy riding in a car
A trip to Mc Donalds for his first ride for a plain hamburger did the trick:)

Quinn is a very loving young male Aussie lad
UPDATE 3/30/05
Quinn was neutered today. He was also microchipped and had some inpacted baby teeth removed
while under for his neuter surgery.
Quinn is recovering well in his foster home
