Deaf Female Purebred Bull Terrier Puppy

Razzle is a deaf purebred Bull Terrier Puppy who was owner surrendered
to a kill shelter in Naples Florida
She was owned by a child who's parents decided this puppy should be taken and dumped off at the local kill shelter
Owner surrendered dogs at kill shelters are not given a 3 day hold like animals picked up stray and can be
immediately euthanized at most kill shelters across the USA
Being Deaf didn't help Razzle's chances of making it out of the shelter alive
When we heard of Razzle's plight we immediately agreed to take her into our rescue program

Razzle was all the way in Florida though and CODA is based in Cleveland Ohio so it was not an easy undertaking to save
Razzle's life
Razzle sends a big thank you to Joanne Brady ( a deaf dog owner) from Del Ray Beach FL for being Razzles rescue angel
and driving across aligator alley twice in one day to ensure that Razzle was safely picked up from the shelter and
driven to Ft. Lauderdale Airport to catch her flight to CODA in Cleveland

Razzle did great and got to meet a lot of Continental Airlines Employees

Razzle also sends a big thank you to Kelli Wilt Ramey and her friends and family for being Razzle's back up help in FL
and for all their hard work during the past week to ensure we could get Razzle safely to Cleveland Ohio

Razzle will be moving to her foster home in a few days
Razzle is a very intelligent, playful, loving puppy and is already settling in nicely here at CODA central until she moves to
her foster home later this week
Razzle is spayed and up to date on all her vaccinations
Razzle will have her spay stitches removed in about eight days
Razzle did well given the long day of driving, flying and meeting so many new people along the way
We will add updated photos and more info on Razzle as we get to know her and learn more about her

The cost to save Razzle's life today was $369.50

She's definately a wonderful puppy with a super temperment who will do well in our rescue program and deserved a second chance at life!

UPDATE 9/21/08

Razzle has presented with a hernia and will need to have the hernia surgically repaired. Dr. Brian will schedule her surgery in about
two weeks as he wants her to have more time to heal from her spay surgery before undergoing hernia surgery.

It was a pretty hot afternoon and Razzle had taken several walks around the town square before these photos were taken

UPDATE 10/21/08

Razzle had her umblical hernia surgery on Monday October 20th and is doing wonderful post surgery
She returned to her foster homeon Tuesday October 21st
Razzle's hernia surgery cost $150.00

We will now be reviewing applications for a great home for Razzle

Razzle is doing well on her house breaking skills and loves to play with her foster furbrothers Buckeye ( Boston Terrier)
and Duke ( Boxer). Razzle does play rough and tumble so would best be matched with a high energy
young, active dog in her new home
Razzle is VERY interested in cats and likes to chase and harrass cats so a home with no cats is the best match for Razzle
Razzle is crate trained
Razzle has learned her sign for " sit" and will do it consistenly especially for a yummy treat
Razzle LOVES to eat:)

Bully breed experienced adopter preferred but not mandatory
Deaf dog experienced home preferred but not mandatory
